We plan a "hybrid" festival for 2022. What does that mean? While we're eager to get back to seeing many of you in-person and getting to play music together, we know not everybody can be there in person. The festival will be on-site and in-person at the Sheraton in Parsippany NJ from July 21-24 with all of the in-person workshops also carried simultaneously on Zoom for the Online-Only attendees. Whether you're in-person or online only, all of the 'live' workshops will be recorded as they are presented and available for later replay. You won't ever miss a workshop! We have 2 different tickets this year: VIP (Very In-Person) and Online Only (2 subscription levels). All ticketing options have access to Somerset Online for various time lengths. Compare the various ticket features on our chart below and make your choice!

Somerset has a generous Cancellation Policy: full refund (less credit card fees if applicable) any time up to June 1 or a full credit for the following year. After June 1 full credit on the following year only.

All participants must be fully vaccinated. Boosters are optional but recommended. You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your second dose in a two–dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Boosters would be added minimum 6 months after your 2-dose shots. Children attending our Youth Harp Program in person must also be vaccinated. So that everyone may feel comfortable being on-site and in-person, NO exceptions will be made. If you cannot meet this requirement, do not purchase a VIP ticket. Simply get the Online Only options. Anyone may change their VIP ticket to an Online Only ticket at any time. Just email me.
Please do not email the festival with negative personal opinions about our vaccination requirements. The pandemic has been a stressful enough time for everyone. We're doing the best we can. Thanks for understanding.
We will be verifying vaccinations in May and you will need to email us an image of your vaccination card or some other valid medical record from a health agency or authority. The document must show your name, the type of vaccine received and the date(s) the shot(s) were given, including the booster shot. Having had COVID-19 previously does not release a participant from the vaccination requirement.
Masking & Safe Distancing
The CDC recommends that you should stay six feet apart from people whom you don’t know are vaccinated. Since we are requiring vaccinations, we will not require safe distancing in workshop rooms, concert hall or Exhibit Hall. We are making sure you don't feel as crowded as we have been at past in-person festivals and we'll have workshops in all the bigger rooms and fewer seats in the concert hall to make everyone feel more comfortable. The CDC updated its masking advisory on Feb. 25. . The Sheraton is located in Morris County NJ, which is a LOW RISK community, as is most of NJ. If you are driving to NJ you are likely also coming from a LOW RISK area. Wear a mask at the festival if that makes you feel less vulnerable and more comfortable. No one at the festival is going to hold it against you!
